GATX Corporation Reports 2015 Third-Quarter Results
October 22, 2015 8:30 AM EDTCHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- GATX Corporation (NYSE: GMT) today reported 2015 third quarter net income of $39.5 million or $0.91 per diluted share, compared to net income of $51.3 million or $1.14 per diluted share in the third quarter of 2014. Net income through September 2015 was $147.1 million or $3.33 per diluted share, compared to $146.5 million or $3.18 per diluted share in the prior year period. The 2015 third quarter and year-to-date results include a net after-tax loss of $26.6 million, or $0.61 per diluted share related to the companys decision to exit the majority of its marine investments within the Portfolio Management segment.
