United Airlines Announces Third-Quarter Profit

CHICAGO, Oct. 22, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- United Airlines (UAL) today reported third-quarter 2015 financial results. 

UAL reported third-quarter net income of $1.7 billion, or $4.53 per diluted share, excluding special items. Including special items, UAL reported third-quarter net income of $4.8 billion. These results include a nonrecurring $3.2 billion non-cash gain associated with the reversal of the company's income tax valuation allowance.
