S&P Cuts St. Jude Medical (STJ) to 'A-' Following Closure of Thoratec Deal
October 8, 2015 5:08 PM EDTStandard & Poor's Ratings Services lowered its ratings on St. Jude Medical Inc. (NYSE: STJ), including the corporate credit rating and all issue-level ratings to 'A-' from 'A'. At the same time, we removed the ratings from CreditWatch, where we placed them with negative implications on July 22, 2015. The outlook is negative.

October 8, 2015 4:39 PM EDTSt. Jude Medical (NYSE: STJ) announced it has completed the previously announced acquisition of Thoratec Corporation, a worldwide leader in mechanical circulatory support (MCS) technology for the treatment of advanced heart failure (HF).
