Rite Aid Reports Same Store Sales for September
October 1, 2015 8:31 AM EDTCAMP HILL, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Rite Aid Corporation (NYSE: RAD) today announced sales results of its retail pharmacy segment for September.
Monthly Sales
For the four weeks ended Sept. 26, 2015, same store sales increased 1.5 percent over the prior-year period. September front-end same store sales decreased 0.1 percent. Pharmacy same store sales, which included an approximate 234 basis points negative impact from new generic introductions, increased 2.2 percent. Prescription count at comparable stores decreased 0.7 percent over the prior-year period.
