Nomura Securities reiterated a Buy rating on Oracle (NYSE: ORCL), and cut the price target to $44.00 (from $49.00), following the company's 1Q16 earnings results. ORCL reported $8.45bn in revenue, compared to $8.53bn consensus. Non-GAAP EPS of $0.53 was slightly above the Street estimate of $0.52.

(Reuters) - Major Wall Street indexes gave up a 1-percent rally to end lower on Thursday after the Federal Reserve cited concerns about global economic growth in its decision to hold off on raising interest rates.

The U.S. central bank held rates steady in a bow to worries about the global economy, financial market volatility and sluggish inflation at home, but it left open the possibility of a modest policy tightening later this year.

Oracle (NYSE: ORCL) reported Q1 EPS of $0.53, $0.01 better than the analyst estimate of $0.52. Revenue for the quarter came in at $8.45 billion versus the consensus estimate of $8.53 billion.

The strengthening of the U.S. dollar compared to foreign currencies had a significant impact on results in the quarter. Total Revenues were$8.4 billion, down 2% in U.S. dollars but up 7% in constant currency.
