July 28, 2015 8:02 AM EDTSUPERVALU (NYSE: SVU) announced that it is exploring a separation of its Save-A-Lot business, and that as part of that process it has begun preparations to allow for a possible spin-off of Save-A-Lot into a stand-alone, publicly traded company.

July 28, 2015 8:01 AM EDTSUPERVALU (NYSE: SVU) reported Q1 EPS of $0.23, $0.02 better than the analyst estimate of $0.21. Revenue for the quarter came in at $5.41 billion versus the consensus estimate of $5.42 billion.
