Nucor Reports Results for Second Quarter and First Half of 2015
July 23, 2015 9:00 AM EDTCHARLOTTE, N.C., July 23, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Nucor Corporation (NYSE: NUE) announced today consolidated net earnings of $124.8 million, or $0.39 per diluted share, for the second quarter of 2015. By comparison, Nucor reported net earnings of $67.8 million, or $0.21 per diluted share, in the first quarter of 2015 and net earnings of $147.0 million, or $0.46 per diluted share, in the second quarter of 2014. Second quarter of 2015 diluted net earnings per share of $0.39 was above our guidance range of $0.20 to $0.25 per diluted share due to better than forecasted performance in the steel mills segment.
