Southern Company announces quarterly dividend
July 20, 2015 2:40 PM EDTATLANTA, July 20, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Southern Company today announced a regular quarterly dividend of 54.25 cents per share on the company's common stock, payable Sept. 5, 2015, to shareholders of record as of Aug. 17, 2015. This marks 271 consecutive quarters dating back to 1948 that Southern Company will have paid a dividend to its shareholders.
