Seneca Foods Reports Earnings of $2.8 Million or $0.26 per Diluted Share for the Fourth Quarter of Fiscal Year 2015
June 9, 2015 4:15 PM EDTMARION, N.Y., June 09, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Seneca Foods Corporation (Nasdaq: SENEA) (Nasdaq: SENEB) reported that net earnings for the fiscal fourth quarter of 2015 was $2.8 million, or $0.26 per diluted share, compared to a loss of $(1.0) million, or $(0.09) per diluted share, in the fiscal fourth quarter of 2014.  Net sales for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2015, decreased from the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2014, by 5.4%, to $277.9 million. The decrease is attributable to decreased sales volume of $25.0 million partially offset by higher selling prices/more favorable sales mix of $9.2 million.
