American Express Board Authorizes Repurchase of up to 150 Million Shares, Announces 12 Percent Dividend Increase
May 12, 2015 4:30 PM EDTNEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The board of directors of American Express Company (NYSE: AXP) today approved the repurchase of up to 150 million common shares, from time to time, subject to market conditions and the Federal Reserves non-objection of the companys capital plans. This authorization replaces the prior 150 million share repurchase program that had approximately 45 million shares of common stock remaining under board authorization.
