Old Dominion Freight Line Announces First-Quarter Earnings Per Diluted Share Of $0.73, UP 37.7% From the Comparable Prior-Year Quarter

THOMASVILLE, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. (NASDAQ: ODFL) today announced financial results for the three-month period ended March 31, 2015. Revenue was $696.2 million, a 12.2% increase from $620.3 million for the first quarter of 2014. Net income grew 36.3% to $62.5 million from $45.9 million for the first quarter of 2014. Earnings per diluted share increased 37.7% to $0.73 for the first quarter of 2015 from $0.53 for the comparable prior-year quarter. Old Dominions operating ratio improved 200 basis points to 85.1% from 87.1% for the first quarter of 2014.
