Universal Truckload Services, Inc. Reports First Quarter 2015 Financial Results
April 29, 2015 9:54 AM EDTWARREN, Mich., April 29, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Universal Truckload Services, Inc. (NASDAQ: UACL) today reported first quarter 2015 net income of $8.2 million, or $0.27 per basic and diluted share, on total operating revenues of $263.6 million. This compares to $8.1 million, or $0.27 per basic and diluted share, during the first quarter of 2014 on total operating revenues of $279.4 million.
Operating revenues from transportation services decreased $19.4 million, or 10.8%, to $160.4 million in the quarter ended March 28, 2015, from the comparable period last year, due to a 2.4% year-over-year decrease in loads and a 5.1% decrease in average operating revenues per load.
