AvalonBay Communities, Inc. Announces First Quarter 2015 Operating Result
April 27, 2015 4:18 PM EDTARLINGTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- AvalonBay Communities, Inc. (NYSE: AVB) (the Company) reported today Net Income Attributable to Common Stockholders for the quarter ended March 31, 2015 of $208,144,000. This resulted in Earnings per Share diluted (EPS) of $1.56 for the three months ended March 31, 2015, compared to $1.09 per share for the comparable period of 2014, an increase of 43.1%.
The increase in EPS for the three months ended March 31, 2015 over the prior year period is due primarily to an increase in real estate sales and related gains, an increase in joint venture income, and an increase in Net Operating Income (NOI)... More
