Provident Financial Services, Inc. Announces First Quarter Earnings and Declares Quarterly Cash Dividend
April 24, 2015 8:00 AM EDTISELIN, N.J., April 24, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Provident Financial Services, Inc. (NYSE: PFS) (the "Company") reported net income of $19.8 million, or $0.32 per basic and diluted share for the three months ended March 31, 2015, compared to net income of $17.0 million, or $0.30 per basic and diluted share for the three months ended March 31, 2014.
Results of operations for the first quarter of 2015 benefited from growth in average loans outstanding, an increase in average non-interest bearing demand deposits and continued improvement in asset quality, partially offset by a reduction in average loan yields.
