Staples, Inc. Announces Fourth Quarter and Full Year 2014 Performance
March 6, 2015 6:00 AM ESTFRAMINGHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Staples, Inc. (Nasdaq: SPLS) announced today the results for its fourth quarter and fiscal year ended January 31, 2015. Total company sales for the fourth quarter of 2014 were $5.7 billion, a decrease of four percent compared to the fourth quarter of 2013. On a GAAP basis, the company reported a net loss of $260 million, or $0.41 per share, compared to net income of $212 million, or $0.33 per diluted share, achieved in the fourth quarter of 2013.
