First Citizens Reports Earnings for Fourth Quarter 2014
February 25, 2015 11:50 AM ESTRALEIGH, N.C., Feb. 25, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- First Citizens BancShares Inc. ("BancShares") (Nasdaq: FCNCA) reports earnings for the quarter ended December 31, 2014, of $62.9 million, compared to $27.0 million for the corresponding period of 2013, according to Frank B. Holding, Jr., chairman of the board. Net income for the fourth quarter of 2014 increased $35.9 million, or by 132.8 percent, from the same quarter of 2013, reflecting the impact of the October 1, 2014, merger of First Citizens Bancorporation, Inc. ("Bancorporation"), a South Carolina corporation, into BancShares.
Per share income for the fourth quarter of 2014 totaled $5.24, compared to $2.81 for the same period of 2013.... More
