Alexion Pharma (ALXN) Gains Amid Conference Call
January 29, 2015 10:29 AM ESTAlexion Pharma (NASDAQ: ALXN) gained on statements made during its conference call.
It sees Q1 product revenue of $585-$590. 2015 tax rate is seen at 7%-9% vs 13%-15% prior. It expected US and EU decisions on Asfotase Alfa by mid-year, and Japan by the end of the year.

January 29, 2015 6:31 AM ESTAlexion Pharma (NASDAQ: ALXN) announced that its Board of Directors has appointed David L. Hallal as the Companys Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective April 1, 2015. Mr. Hallal currently serves as Alexions Chief Operating Officer (COO) and is a Director of the Board. He will succeed Leonard Bell, M.D., Chairman and CEO, who will retire as CEO and continue to serve as Chairman of the Board. Dr. Bell was the principal founder of Alexion in 1992 and has served as CEO for the past 23 years.
