(NYSE: GBX) announced that it has entered an agreement to acquire a 19.5% ownership in Amsted-Maxion Hortolandia, the leading railcar manufacturer in South America, for $15 million. The agreement also provides Greenbrier with an option to acquire an additional 40.5% ownership interest, to be exercised no later than September 30, 2017. The strategic investment is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to close in the second calendar quarter of 2015.

Greenbrier Cos. (GBX) Declares $0.15 Quarterly Dividend; Adds $25M to Buyback Plan
January 7, 2015 6:10 AM ESTGreenbrier Cos. (NYSE: GBX) declared a quarterly dividend of $0.15 per share, or $0.6 annualized.
The dividend will be payable on February 11, 2015, to stockholders of record on January 21, 2015, with an ex-dividend date of January 16, 2015.
The annual yield on the dividend is 1.2 percent.
