Himax (HIMX) Remains Sell-Rated at Chardan; Focus on Small, Large Panels Will Pressure Growth
November 13, 2014 10:38 AM ESTChardan Capital maintains Himax Technologies (Nasdaq: HIMX) at Sell with a $5 price target following Q3 results.
Analyst Jay Srivatsa offered the following observations following results:
Seasonality and capacity constraints puts Q4:14 guidance well below consensus. In our preview note on Nov 10, we projected HIMX revenue guidance could be shy of consensus. The company guided for revenues to be flat to up slightly from $222 million in Q3:14 and expects gross margins to decline by ~1% sequentially with non-GAAP EPS expected to be $0.08 to $0.095 in Q4:14. Himax Technologies (HIMX) Posts In-Line Q3 EPS; Guides Q4, FY14 EPS
November 13, 2014 6:26 AM ESTHimax Technologies (NASDAQ: HIMX) reported Q3 EPS of $0.11, compared with the analyst estimate of $0.11. Revenue for the quarter came in at $222.3 million versus the consensus estimate of $224.7 million.
