Transocean (RIG) Tops Q3 EPS by 13c Ex-Items

Transocean (NYSE: RIG) reported Q3 EPS of $0.96, $0.13 better than the analyst estimate of $0.83. Revenue for the quarter came in at $2.27 billion versus the consensus estimate of $2.2 billion.

The company reported a net loss attributable to controlling interest for the three months ended September 30, 2014 of $2.217 billion, or $6.12 per diluted share, although the results included net unfavorable items of $2.569 billion, or $7.08 per diluted share.
