Can't beat 'em? Just pick another target.

Nokia (NYSE: NOK) is said to be betting on its relationship with Microsoft to give it an edge over BlackBerry (Nasdaq: BBRY) in gaining more corporate customers. Nokia's new line of Lumia devices, including two lower-cost units introduced this week at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, include such key Microsoft features as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Getting a stronghold with business users as Nokia and BlackBerry fight for third place behind venerable rivals Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) and Samsung.

Nokia might be able to win-over information technology (IT) chiefs with easy synching between the Windows Phone devices and company computers.

In its most recent quarter, Nokia reported selling 4.4 million Lumia devices, which accounted for about 75 percent of total Windows Phone sales. The number compares with 7.4 million units sold by BlackBerry into its debut of the BlackBerry 10 operating system.

Nokia shares are flat early Wednesday, while BlackBerry is indicated for a higher open.
