Dollar General (NYSE: DG) reported Q2 EPS of $0.52, $0.04 better than the analyst estimate of $0.48. Revenue for the quarter came in at $3.58 billion versus the consensus estimate of $3.54 billion.
Raises its FY11 EPS guidance from $2.20-$2.30 to $2.22-$2.30. Sales are expected to grow 12-14 percent, above the 11-13 percent initially guided.
