Sprint Nextel (NYSE: S) reported Q2 EPS of ($0.28), $0.15 worse than the analyst estimate of ($0.13). Revenue for the quarter came in at $8.31 billion versus the consensus estimate of $8.3 billion.
The company added nearly 1.1 million total net wireless subscribers primarily driven by net prepaid subscriber additions of 674,000, net wholesale and affiliate subscriber additions of 519,000 and net postpaid subscriber additions of 275,000 for the Sprint brand.
