During the quarter, Main Street Mezzanine Fund, LP, a wholly-owned subsidiary licensed as a Small Business Investment Company (SBIC), received approval from the U.S. Small Business Administration to increase its SBIC debenture borrowing capacity by $75.0 million to $250.0 million. Combined with Main Street Capital III, LP, another wholly-owned SBIC, the company now has access to $425.0 million of the $475.0 million regulatory maximum SBIC debenture borrowing capacity for affiliated SBIC funds.
Investment activity during the quarter included $61.5 million in lower middle market portfolio investments and $162.0 million in private loan portfolio investments.
