Venezuela's telecommunications regulator, Conatel, has formally authorized Starlink to operate in the country, granting SpaceX VZ, S.C.A. a general authorization along with seven concessions in the Ku band.
Conatel noted the move follows technical cooperation during the June 2026 earthquake emergency, when Starlink tested device-to-device messaging and satellite capacity in affected areas.
SpaceX is not publicly traded on Nasdaq; the ticker SPCX referenced in the press release corresponds to a separately managed ETF, not SpaceX itself.
