DXC Technology (NYSE: DXC) announced a series of platform expansions and capability updates aimed at helping insurers modernize operations and adopt artificial intelligence, according to a company press release.
The announcements were made at the DXC Connect Insurance Executive Forum in London and center on the company's Assure Platform, which now counts more than 275 customers. Over the past year, DXC added 18 Smart App customers supporting more than 450 insurers. The platform has processed more than 750,000 automated transactions, deployed more than 70 agents, and digitally extracted more than two million pages.
DXC also introduced Assure Configuration Manager, a low-code, configuration-driven tool designed to simplify the deployment of new platform components. The company says the tool is intended to reduce complexity when introducing new capabilities to existing insurance systems.
Assure Smart Apps are being deployed within DXC's Life & Wealth business process services operations, which support 11 million policies, process more than $11 billion in payments annually, and handle 300,000 claims per year.
In the London Market, DXC said it intends to combine capabilities from its Assure Platform with those developed through the London Market Core Platform (LMCP). The company is applying its Assure Architecture and Workflow Assistant tools to selected London Market workflows to improve routing, tracking, and management of work across the market.
"Insurers are under pressure to modernize faster, unlock new opportunities with AI, and respond to changing market demands without disrupting the systems that run their businesses," said Ray August, President of Insurance Software and Business Process Services at DXC Technology.
