Jaguar Uranium gets EIA approval for Argentina prospect
Jaguar Uranium Corp. (NYSE American: JAGU) has received Environmental Impact Assessment approval from the Ministry of Environment of the Province of Chubut, Argentina, for its La Rosada prospect, part of the company's Laguna Salada uranium exploration project.
The permit covers six properties totaling 59,895 hectares, representing approximately 25% of the Laguna Salada project, which spans roughly 230,000 hectares in Argentina's Chubut Province. The La Rosada prospect is located 45 kilometers northeast of the Guanaco prospect, which received its own EIA approval in March 2026.
With the approval in place, Jaguar said it plans to begin exploration activities following the conclusion of the winter season. The planned work program includes geochemical sampling, geological mapping, radiometric grid surveys, and electrical resistivity tomography to identify deep fluvial paleochannels.
"Approval of the EIA marks an important milestone for Jaguar Uranium," said Steven Gold, Chief Executive Officer. "Given the scale of the Laguna Salada project, this approval advances our exploration strategy and positions the Company to move efficiently into the next phase of fieldwork."
The six properties covered by the permit are La Rosada (10,003.5 ha), Horqueta 1 (10,000 ha), Horqueta 2 (9,992.7 ha), Horqueta 3 (10,000.1 ha), Horqueta 4 (10,000 ha), and Horqueta 5 (9,899 ha).
