OFA Group outlines multi-phase cultural development plan in Japan

September 24, 2026 4:00 PM EDT

OFA Group (NASDAQ: OFAL) has outlined a long-term development plan for an oceanfront cultural destination in Choshi City, Chiba Prefecture, Japan, combining classical music, education, wellness, hospitality, and residential real estate into a single destination.

According to a company statement, the project is centered on classical music as Choshi's primary cultural element. OFA said it is in early discussions with cultural producers about multi-year programming that could begin as soon as 2028.

As part of the same initiative, OFA is pursuing the redevelopment of a coastal parcel in Choshi's Tokawa area into a private-pay senior living community near Choshi Dentetsu's Tokawa Station. The project is under a provisional agreement with Choshi City and remains subject to City Council approval. Site design and regulatory review are underway.

"This is about more than any single building or event," said Larry Wong, CEO of OFA Group. "We are working to organically link music, education, wellness, hospitality, and residential living so that Choshi's identity as a cultural destination and OFA's long-term investment in the city grow together, not on separate tracks."

Education programming and hospitality components are described as earlier in development and will be shaped alongside the music and residential elements as those progress.

OFA said it plans to advance the roadmap in phases, working with Choshi City, local stakeholders, and prospective partners. The company said it will provide updates as municipal approvals, program partnerships, and site plans are finalized.

OFA Group describes itself as a technology-driven architecture, real estate, and digital asset infrastructure company.
