Raymond James Financial (NYSE: RJF) announced that Bank Segment President Steve Raney will move into an executive consulting role on January 1, 2027, after 21 years leading the firm's banking business.
Chief Operating Officer Scott Curtis will assume leadership of the Bank Segment as part of what the company described as a long-term succession plan. Curtis has served on the Raymond James Bank board since 2019 and will continue overseeing Raymond James Investment Management, Marketing, Corporate Real Estate, and Office and Procurement Services.
Raney will remain involved following the transition, serving as chair of the Raymond James Bank board and as a member of the TriState Capital Bank board, Raymond James' two trust company boards, and select bank committees.
According to a statement from CEO Paul Shoukry, the Bank Segment grew from approximately $41 million in annual net revenues in fiscal 2006 to nearly $1.8 billion in fiscal 2025 under Raney's leadership.
Separately, Chief Strategy Officer Tarek Helal will take on oversight of the Asset Management Services division, effective January 1, 2027, in addition to his current responsibilities.
Shoukry said the realignment is intended to provide additional leadership focus and position both the Bank Segment and Asset Management Services to pursue strategic opportunities, alongside investments in technology and other capabilities.
