Tradeweb Markets Inc. (Nasdaq: TW) reported total trading volume of $61.2 trillion for August 2026, with average daily volume (ADV) of $2.8 trillion, a 13.7% increase year-over-year, according to a company statement.
In rates, U.S. government bond ADV rose 28.9% year-over-year to $282.5 billion, while European government bond ADV climbed 22.2% to $54.1 billion. Swaps/swaptions of one year or more ADV increased 27.3% to $553.0 billion, and total rates derivatives ADV rose 21.0% to $1.1 trillion. Mortgage ADV declined 9.2% to $210.7 billion.
In credit, fully electronic U.S. credit ADV rose 32.5% to $8.9 billion, and European credit ADV increased 10.7% to $2.0 billion. Credit derivatives ADV climbed 51.4% to $17.7 billion. Tradeweb reported a 19.0% share of fully electronic U.S. high grade TRACE and 8.3% of U.S. high yield TRACE, as measured by the company. Global cash credit portfolio trading ADV increased 50.4% year-over-year. Municipal bond ADV fell 2.8% to $523 million.
In equities, U.S. ETF ADV rose 19.8% to $10.1 billion, and international ETF ADV increased 23.6% to $3.1 billion.
In money markets, repo ADV grew 11.5% to $836.3 billion, while other money markets ADV was broadly flat, down 0.1% to $276.3 billion.
