Elastic plans to add OpenAI GPT cyber models to its security platform

Elastic (NYSE: ESTC) announced plans to integrate OpenAI GPT cyber models into Elastic Security, according to a press release from the company.

The integration will be delivered through the OpenAI Daybreak Defense Network and is intended to bring cyber reasoning capabilities into existing Elastic Security workflows, covering alert triage, investigation, detection engineering, and remediation. Elastic said customers will not need to deploy or manage separate model infrastructure.

The models will be integrated via the Elastic Inference Service (EIS), the company's managed, GPU-accelerated inference service. No specific availability date was provided.

"As attackers use AI to move at machine speed, defenders need AI for security to detect and defend just as fast," said Mike Nichols, general manager of Security at Elastic. "By bringing OpenAI GPT cyber models directly into Elastic Security, we can give customers additional cyber reasoning right where security work happens, without separate model infrastructure or integration overhead."

McCall McIntyre, head of global cyber partnerships at OpenAI, said the collaboration is aimed at helping security teams use domain-specific intelligence to protect their environments.
