Cloudflare, Inc. (NYSE: NET) announced support for running Cursor Cloud Agents on Cloudflare Sandboxes, giving developers and enterprise teams a way to run AI coding agents in customer-controlled sandbox environments.
The integration allows Cursor's agent loop — including inference, planning, and orchestration — to continue running through Cursor, while tool calls such as terminal, filesystem, and browser actions execute inside Cloudflare Sandbox environments linked to a customer's Cloudflare account. Repositories, build caches, and secrets remain on the customer's machines during self-hosted operation.
Cursor Cloud Agents use an outbound connectivity model. A worker running the Cursor CLI opens a long-lived outbound HTTPS connection to Cursor's backend, meaning Cursor does not need to open an inbound connection into the customer's network.
The integration supports both individual developers, who can connect a single worker through My Machines, and enterprise teams, which can use self-hosted worker pools to route agent tasks across different execution environments and manage capacity as demand changes.
"Cloudflare Sandboxes gives teams the freedom to use the AI tools they prefer while giving organizations a secure, isolated place to run agent work," said Dane Knecht, Chief Technology Officer at Cloudflare.
The Cursor integration follows similar arrangements Cloudflare has established with other AI agent platforms, including Devin Outposts and Claude Managed Agents, according to the company's press release.
