Lemonade (NYSE: LMND) has launched its car insurance product in Missouri, along with a pricing program for Tesla owners who use Full Self-Driving (Supervised), according to a company press release.
Missouri Tesla drivers who activate the Autonomous Car pricing option receive a 50% discount on every mile driven using Full Self-Driving (Supervised). Lemonade said this marks the first time it has launched both its standard car insurance and its autonomous vehicle pricing program simultaneously in a new state.
"Missouri drivers are getting Lemonade Car and Lemonade Autonomous Car at the same time, which is a first for us," said Shai Wininger, President and Co-Founder of Lemonade. "Tesla's safe FSD (Supervised) tech reduces the chances of getting into an accident. Our intelligent pricing models see this in the data and can pass real savings, with high precision, on to Tesla customers, right from the start."
Lemonade said additional discounts are available when car insurance is bundled with its renters, pet, or home insurance products. The company currently serves over three million customers across the U.S., U.K., and Europe.
