Vishay launches two common mode chokes for automotive and industrial use

Vishay Intertechnology (NYSE: VSH) has introduced two low profile common mode chokes targeting high current automotive, energy, and industrial applications, according to a company press release.

The Vishay Dale ICMS2321-10 and the Automotive Grade ICMS2321-1A are available in both surface-mount and through-hole packages. Both devices support a heat rating current of up to 30 A and a 1500 VDC dielectric withstand voltage between coils. They operate at temperatures up to +150 °C and offer inductance ranging from 70 µH to 480 µH.

The ICMS2321-1A carries AEC-Q200 qualification, making it applicable for automotive on-board chargers. The ICMS2321-10 does not carry that qualification. Both devices feature a self-shielded construction and are suited for use in DC/DC converters, high voltage inverters, EMI filters, and motor control circuitry.

Inductance, impedance, DCR, and current ratings are customizable on both models. Surface-mount versions are available in tape and reel packaging and are compatible with automated pick and place assembly. Both products are RoHS-compliant and halogen-free.

Samples and production quantities are available now, with lead times of 12 weeks.
