Accelsius, founded by Innventure (NASDAQ: INV), announced the deployment of its IR150 two-phase, direct-to-chip liquid cooling system at the EdgeConneX Global Training Center in Houston, Texas.
The IR150 integrates a two-phase cooling distribution unit directly into an IT enclosure, which the company describes as its first fully integrated IT rack and CDU combination. The system is intended for high-density deployments and confines potential failure domains to a single rack.
The EdgeConneX Global Training Center is located on the company's Houston data center campus and is designed as a production-like environment for training service teams. The facility will incorporate Accelsius' NeuCool two-phase liquid cooling technology into its curriculum, giving operators, technicians, and partners hands-on experience with the systems ahead of customer deployments.
"Our Global Training Center was built to prepare operators for the technologies shaping the future of data centers," said Brian Green, EVP Engineering & Operations at EdgeConneX. "Adding two-phase liquid cooling gives our teams and partners hands-on experience with a technology that's becoming central to AI infrastructure."
John Hewitt, CEO of Accelsius, said the refrigerant-based architecture reduces fluid management demands compared to single-phase systems, allowing maintenance teams to focus on uptime and efficiency rather than cooling infrastructure upkeep.
According to the company's press release, the IR150 was previously introduced at Nvidia's GTC event and announced for general availability at Data Center World. The EdgeConneX training center deployment represents the next step in its commercial rollout.
The Global Training Center is open to customers, partners, and industry visitors for guided tours and hands-on training sessions. EdgeConneX is backed by EQT Infrastructure.
