Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH) has introduced 17 new surface-mount flyback transformers under the Vishay Dale IFBT series, expanding its power transformer portfolio for flyback converter topologies.
The devices operate with an input voltage range of 26 V to 72 V at 250 kHz and provide isolation of 1,500 VRMS for 60 seconds from primary and bias windings to secondary. Inductance values range from 35.0 µH to 75.0 µH, and the transformers operate across a temperature range of -40 °C to +125 °C.
The series supports output voltages from 1.8 V to 24 V and output currents from 0.5 A to 9.0 A through multiple windings that allow series and parallel connection configurations. The devices are RoHS-compliant and feature an open construction that allows winding modifications to meet specific requirements.
Target applications include flyback transformers for 6 W and 30 W Power over Ethernet designs, isolated DC/DC converters up to 30 W, automotive lighting LED drivers, industrial drives and automation systems, telecom equipment, and medical instrumentation.
Samples and production quantities are available, with lead times of 10 to 12 weeks, according to a company statement.
