Natera partners with Angiex to monitor cancer drug trial with ctDNA test

August 27, 2026 6:01 AM EDT

Natera, Inc. (NASDAQ: NTRA) announced a collaboration with Angiex, Inc. to use Natera's Signatera test in a Phase I clinical trial of AGX101, an investigational cancer treatment being developed by Angiex.

Angiex is enrolling patients with unresectable, locally advanced, or metastatic solid tumors in the trial. AGX101 is a TM4SF1-directed antibody-drug conjugate designed to bind TM4SF1 and deliver a cytotoxic payload to TM4SF1-expressing tumor cells and tumor-associated endothelial cells.

Under the collaboration, Natera's Signatera test will be used for longitudinal circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) monitoring during AGX101 treatment. The companies said the testing is intended to explore whether ctDNA measurements can complement imaging-based assessments of treatment response, particularly in cases where imaging shows changes whose relationship to viable tumor is uncertain.

"This collaboration will allow us to evaluate whether longitudinal ctDNA measurements can complement imaging and improve our understanding of treatment response," said Paul Jaminet, co-founder and CEO of Angiex.

Eric Matthews, general manager of biopharma at Natera, said Signatera is intended to provide additional depth into early biologic response assessment to support the development of AGX101.

Angiex is a privately held biotechnology company based in Cambridge, Mass. The AGX101 clinical trial is registered as NCT06440005.
