Teledyne FLIR Marine, a unit of Teledyne Technologies Incorporated (NYSE: TDY), has introduced the FLIR M364C-USV, a multispectral maritime camera system designed for autonomous and uncrewed surface vessels (USVs).
The camera combines thermal and visible imaging in a pan-and-tilt housing intended for continuous operation in marine environments. According to the company, the system is designed to support navigation, obstacle avoidance, surveillance, environmental monitoring and scientific research, and is capable of operating in conditions including darkness, glare and haze.
The M364C-USV is built to integrate with autonomy, remote-control and mission-management systems, and the company states it supports AI-enabled workflows and machine-vision applications through aligned video and telemetry data outputs.
"Autonomous and uncrewed vessels depend on reliable sensing technologies to operate safely and effectively in dynamic maritime environments," said Michelle Hildyard, General Manager of Teledyne FLIR Marine. "The M364C-USV delivers the real-time visibility and situational awareness operators need to make better decisions, avoid hazards and support mission success."
The product is available to order and comes with a two-year limited warranty tailored to high-duty-cycle USV operating profiles.
