LPL Financial names Jonathan Lewis as chief technology officer

LPL Financial Holdings Inc. (Nasdaq: LPLA) has appointed Jonathan Lewis as managing director and chief technology and information officer, the company announced. Lewis will lead technology domains including architecture, engineering, infrastructure, and development, reporting to Greg Gates.
Gates, who previously held the title of chief technology officer, assumes the broader role of group managing director and chief product and technology officer.
Lewis joins LPL Financial from Wells Fargo, where he served as head of digital and trading technology for wealth management. Before that, he held the position of head of asset management technology at J.P. Morgan. He brings more than two decades of experience in technology leadership across the financial services industry.
Lewis is based in New York City.
LPL Financial supports more than 32,000 financial advisors and approximately 1,100 financial institutions, with approximately $2.6 trillion in brokerage and advisory assets under custody and servicing on behalf of approximately 8 million clients.
