BJ's Wholesale Club plans new location in Tyler, Texas

BJ's Wholesale Club (NYSE: BJ) announced plans to open a new club location in Tyler, Texas, adding to its existing presence in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
The Tyler location is part of the company's stated growth strategy, which targets 25 to 30 new clubs every two years. BJ's currently operates 267 clubs across 22 states, headquartered in Marlborough, Massachusetts.
The new location is expected to create between 100 and 150 jobs. Several other locations have been previously announced, including sites in Mesquite, Texas; Foley, Alabama; Frankfort, Kentucky; Ocala, Florida; Lecanto, Florida; Port St. Lucie, Florida; and Portage, Indiana.
"We're thrilled by the enthusiasm we've seen from members in Texas and look forward to taking care of families in Tyler and the surrounding communities," said Bill Werner, Executive Vice President of Strategy and Development at BJ's Wholesale Club.
