Vivakor posts positive operating income as Q2 revenue rises 10%
Vivakor, Inc. (Nasdaq: VIVK) reported second-quarter revenue of $32.1 million for the period ended June 30, 2026, a 10% increase from $29.1 million in the prior-year period, according to a company statement.
Gross profit rose 45% to $6.6 million from $4.6 million, with gross margin expanding to 20.7% from 15.7%. Operating expenses fell 43% to $6.5 million from $11.4 million, primarily due to lower depreciation and amortization. The company reported operating income of approximately $0.2 million, compared with an operating loss of $6.8 million in the same period a year earlier. Net loss narrowed 78% to $2.8 million from $12.5 million.
The revenue increase was driven largely by the expansion of the company's Supply & Trading segment, which generated $26.5 million in revenue and approximately $1.1 million in gross profit during the quarter. Lower revenues from Transportation & Logistics and Terminaling & Storage partially offset those gains.
For the six months ended June 30, 2026, consolidated revenue was $51.6 million, down from $66.4 million in the prior-year period. The decline reflected lower revenues from Transportation & Logistics and Terminaling & Storage, including the impact of the July 2025 divestiture of Meridian Equipment Leasing, LLC and Equipment Transport, LLC. Supply & Trading generated $40.0 million in revenue during the first half of 2026. Six-month gross profit increased 32% to $12.4 million, while operating expenses decreased 35% to $14.6 million.
"Our second-quarter results demonstrate the progress we are making in building a more integrated and scalable energy platform," said James Ballengee, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Vivakor.
