Albemarle names Max Hood as chief accounting officer

Albemarle Corporation (NYSE: ALB) appointed Max W. Hood as its Chief Accounting Officer, effective August 24, 2026, according to a company statement. Hood will serve as the company's principal accounting officer.
Hood, 47, previously served as co-Chief Financial Officer of The ODP Corporation, a publicly traded provider of business services and workplace products. He joined ODP in 2018 as Vice President of Accounting and Treasury, later becoming Chief Accounting Officer and Controller before being named co-CFO in December 2024. Prior to ODP, he held finance and accounting roles at General Electric Company and Deloitte.
Under the terms of his employment, Hood will receive an annual base salary of $400,000. He will also participate in Albemarle's annual incentive plan with a 2026 target bonus of 50% of eligible earnings, prorated based on months employed during the year. His long-term incentive plan participation carries a total target value of 70% of base salary.
Hood will receive a sign-on grant of restricted stock units valued at $200,000 at the time of grant, vesting in three equal increments on the first, second, and third anniversaries of the grant date. He will also be eligible for the company's standard employee benefit programs.
