SK hynix responds to Korea Exchange inquiry on Japan facility

SK hynix Inc. (NASDAQ: SKHY) responded to a disclosure inquiry from the Korea Exchange on Aug. 21, 2026, regarding media reports that the company is considering building a semiconductor facility in Japan.

The company stated that it is reviewing various measures, including establishing additional production bases, to strengthen its memory business, but said no decisions have been made as of the date of the statement.

SK hynix said it will issue a further disclosure either when specific details are confirmed or within one month of the report date.
