Mattel launches UNO Championship Series with $50,000 grand prize

Mattel (NASDAQ: MAT) announced the UNO Championship Series, a competitive live tournament scheduled to culminate on Nov. 11 in Los Angeles, where players will compete for a $50,000 grand prize and the title of 2026 UNO Champion.
In-person qualifying events will be held in Kissimmee, FL (Oct. 3), Chicago, IL (Oct. 10), and El Segundo, CA (Oct. 17), with one winner from each event advancing to the final tournament. An additional four spots will be awarded through free weekly digital qualifying rounds held Aug. 31 through Sept. 27 via the UNO! Mobile app. Global participants will also be invited to compete. The championship event will be streamed live on Twitch.
Alongside the tournament announcement, Mattel has released a line of UNO Championship Series products, all rated for ages 7 and up and available now. The lineup includes a Tournament Set ($19.99), a Championship Belt ($19.99), a Card Shuffler ($24.99), and an Expanded Tournament Set that accommodates up to 30 players ($32.99).
