VinSpace Joint Stock Company, a member of Vietnam's Vingroup ecosystem, has signed a launch contract with SpaceX to deploy its satellites aboard a Transporter rideshare mission in 2027, according to a company statement.
Under the agreement, VinSpace's satellites will share a single launch vehicle with other customers through SpaceX's rideshare program. VinSpace is responsible for the research, development, manufacturing, and on-orbit operation of the satellites, which will be used to demonstrate in-house developed technologies and support the company's satellite engineering capabilities.
The contract follows VinSpace's April 2026 announcement of plans to develop and launch its first satellites into orbit in 2027.
Thu Vu, Chief Executive Officer of VinSpace, said: "Reliable access to space is fundamental to turning satellite innovation into operational missions. This contract with SpaceX is an important milestone in VinSpace's long-term strategy to help build Vietnam's space ecosystem and strengthen the country's position within the global space economy."
VinSpace has stated its intention to develop capabilities across the space value chain, including satellite design and manufacturing, assembly, integration and testing, launch mission management, satellite operations, and space data products and services.
