Interactive Brokers Group (NASDAQ: IBKR) announced a new funding integration with Paysafe's SafetyPay, allowing clients in Latin America to deposit funds directly from personal bank accounts in local currencies.
The integration enables eligible clients in the region to transfer funds into their IBKR accounts without converting to a foreign currency before depositing. Once funded, accounts provide access to stocks, options, futures, currencies, bonds, and funds across more than 170 global markets.
"Funding an account should be straightforward," said Milan Galik, Chief Executive Officer of Interactive Brokers. "SafetyPay gives clients in Latin America a simple way to transfer funds from their local bank accounts and quickly access the global markets available through IBKR."
The company did not disclose which specific Latin American countries are eligible for the service or provide details on associated fees.
