L3Harris displays multi-domain defense tech at Army exercise

L3Harris Technologies (NYSE: LHX) participated in the U.S. Army's Project Convergence-Capstone 6 exercise at Fort Irwin, California, demonstrating a range of interoperable, multi-domain defense capabilities, according to a company press release.

Key technologies displayed included multi-domain assured communications systems, Link 16 integration onto UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters, and the Deceptor modular electronic warfare payload. The company also partnered with ARX Robotics to present an integrated counter-unmanned aerial system capability using its CORVUS-RAVEN platform.

L3Harris also recently participated in separate exercises — Ivy Mass, Lightning Surge, and Operation Jailbreak — where its Wraith waveform and WESCAM MX-Series electro-optical/infrared sensor systems were validated as "jailbroken," a designation indicating compatibility with open-systems requirements.

"Our wide range of open system defense technologies have modern, high-volume manufacturing and resilient supply chains to support their rapid delivery into the hands of soldiers," said Christopher Aebli, President of Communications & Spectrum Dominance at L3Harris.

The company noted it was previously selected as a Next Generation Command and Control transport layer provider for the U.S. Army, and described its Project Convergence participation as part of continued progress in support of new Army requirements.
