Safe Pro Group wins $180,000 State Dept. subcontract for Ukraine demining

Safe Pro Group Inc. (Nasdaq: SPAI) has been awarded a subcontract valued at approximately $180,000 to supply AI-powered demining software under a U.S. Department of State program, according to a company press release.

The contract includes five hardened GPU-powered laptop computers configured with the company's Spotlight OnSight software, along with three years of annual software licensing and AI model upgrades. The software allows users to detect explosive threats using drone imagery, plot predictions on maps, and export data in standard geospatial formats without requiring internet connectivity.

The deployment is intended to support Ukraine's landmine clearance efforts. As of June 2025, over 139,000 square kilometers of Ukrainian territory are considered contaminated by mines and explosive remnants of war, an area roughly the size of England. More than six million Ukrainians live in or near heavily contaminated areas, with mine contamination affecting an estimated $11 billion in agricultural output annually.

The software is described in the press release as designed to help Ukraine conduct demining operations without relying on foreign assistance.

Safe Pro Group, based in Aventura, Fla., develops AI-enabled security and defense solutions, including drone imagery processing tools that use machine learning and computer vision to identify explosive threats.
