Einride to deploy 500 Tesla Semis across North America for Amazon
Einride AB (Nasdaq: ENRD) announced plans to deploy 500 Tesla Semi trucks on its Saga AI fleet intelligence platform, serving Amazon and other customers across freight corridors in California, Texas, New Jersey, Illinois, and Georgia.
The deployment, described by the company as the largest of its kind, will begin in September 2026 and roll out in multiple phases over 24 months. Einride said the addition will triple its deployed fleet of electric trucks. The trucks will be financed through third-party financing arrangements.
Einride said the deployment is part of a broader effort to convert approximately $800 million in potential long-term annual recurring revenue under joint business plans with shippers into active freight capacity.
Saga AI, Einride's platform, has logged more than 19 million electric miles and 42,000 optimization sessions globally across seven years of commercial operations, according to the company.
"This deployment is yet another proof point that we can execute at the scale our customers demand," said Roozbeh Charli, Chief Executive Officer of Einride.
Dan Priestley, Director of Semi at Tesla, said: "Einride is at the forefront of sustainable freight and we are thrilled to deepen our relationship with them through this order of 500 Semis."
