ArcelorMittal Ukraine plant hit by missile strike, 2 dead

A missile strike hit ArcelorMittal's Ukraine steel plant over the weekend, killing two employees and injuring 13 others, according to a statement from the company.

The attack struck ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih while the plant was operational. The company said its energy and blast furnace production facilities were damaged, causing a partial halt to production. Specialists are assessing the extent of the damage and the timeline for restoring operations.

Of the two fatalities, one was a company staff member and one was from a contractor organization. The 13 injured included both employees and contractors, all of whom are receiving medical care at facilities in the city.

ArcelorMittal (NYSE: MT) is listed on the New York, Amsterdam, Paris, Luxembourg, and Spanish stock exchanges.
